Wisconsin Council Warns of Doctor Shortage, Indiana Company Focused on Saving Doctors Time Ranks on Inc. 5000 List

Terre Haute, IN, September 2, 2016 (Newswire.com) – InfraWare, Inc. announced it has ranked as the 50th fastest growing software company on the 2016 Inc. 5000 list. Ranked 637th overall, InfraWare is honored to be listed in the exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. As the neighboring state of Wisconsin faces concerning news this week of an upcoming doctor shortage (Wisconsin Council on Medical Education & Workforce), the Indiana company is enjoying success helping doctors regain their voice and save time. Rather than expecting a doctor to spend excessive time on the computer, InfraWare’s customers send the work to them. Its patented speech recognition program First Draft ™ is used, transcriptionists and editors review the medical document for accuracy, and the patient’s story is returned into the doctor’s EHR.

The Inc. 5000 list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs. Companies such as Yelp, Pandora, Timberland, Dell, Domino’s Pizza, LinkedIn, Zillow, and many other well-known names gained early exposure as members of the Inc. 5000. “InfraWare is honored to be recognized by the 2016 Inc 5000 list of high growth companies and to be awarded the rank 50th Software Company and 637 overall,” stated CEO Nick Mahurin.

“The story of this year’s Inc. 5000 is the story of great leadership. In an incredibly competitive business landscape, it takes something extraordinary to take your company to the top,” says Inc. President and Editor-In-Chief Eric Schurenberg. “You have to remember that the average company on the Inc. 5000 grew nearly six-fold since 2012. Business owners don’t achieve that kind of success by accident.

“Faster turnaround and lower costs are precisely the kinds of solutions every healthcare enterprise needs today,” continued Mahurin. Eliminating tasks many hospitals are forcing upon doctors has been a successful approach for InfraWare, as evident by the Inc. 5000 ranking.

About InfraWare

Founded in 2003, InfraWare has more than a decade of innovation in healthcare documentation technology. InfraWare also sponsored the Health Story Project (HSP) and provided executive committee leadership to ensure that the rich narrative of patient encounters is captured in the patient’s electronic medical record during the move to structured data to support Meaningful Use (MU/MACRA). HSP developed Consolidated CDA – a streamlined set of templates using common components so that files could easily be shared between EMR systems and service providers. The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) included Consolidated CDA in MU Stage 2 (MU2) rules for certified EMRs.

Today, the suite of InfraWare products and services support Consolidated CDA to empower clinicians to dictate encounters to save time and provide better care and documentation by relying on our ASR software and medical language specialists to handle the documentation.
